The Joy of Seeing Your Daughter Married

My daughter was recently married. What a wonderful day full of immense joy! It was wonderful to be together in the temple as a family. The spirit was very strong and Lara and David were radiant and happy. After the wedding ceremony I stayed while they did photographs. They were so much in love and so happy! It was very fun to be there with them for their romantic photos. Afterward, we had a nice luncheon at our church and then got ready for the reception. The wind had been blowing and it had been cloudy all afternoon, but right about at 5:30 when the reception was about ready to began, the wind stopped, the clouds parted and the sun shown warmly down upon us. We truly experienced the tender mercies of the Lord. We took pictures prior to the reception and then prepared to greet guests. The reception was very fun and ended with us blowing bubbles as the bride and groom ran out, climbed onto a bicycle built for two and rode off together to begin their honeymoon. What a perfect, fun, and joyous day it was!
